分为原版HL2+EP1+EP2+EP3(开发中）

原版HL2的剧情承接的是HL1，但相隔了一段时间。

共有14个小章节。cobline占领了地球，布林*士代表人类投降，但是一些人类不甘心，便组成了反抗军。g-man这时候启用了主角，虽然不知道让他做什么。一开始，你就处于火车上，然后通过与反抗军的合作，与联合军作战。你后来开了汽艇，以及吉普车。*后在城堡里，然后故事结束。

此后，VALVE公司为了调试HDR效果(一种渲染模式），推出了一部测试片：lost coast（失落的海岸线），和以前的剧情没有任何关系，在一个岛上和联合军、猎头蟹作战。这个是很短的章节，剧情没什么意思。

HDR测试完成后，VALVE推出了**章。承接HL2原版，刚开始你在石头里，机器人阿狗给你挖出来，此后，你和女主角艾利克斯开始了逃亡的旅程，也就是你*后说的乘坐火车离开了，城堡融毁了。

去年10月份，VALVE推出了第二章，情节上延续**章，你和艾利克斯去白森林找她爸爸和克莱纳*士。*后的结局是伊莱凡斯（女主角的父亲）被**。

今天可能还会发布第三章，承接第二章的故事
